Ryan Lewis' House Is No Thrift-Shop Find

In case you didn’t know, Ryan Lewis’ house is for sale. Yeah, that Grammy-winning, understated musical partner to Macklemore is selling his Seattle waterfront villa for $7.95 million after a recent price cut.

Curious where the guy behind the keyboard lives? Let’s take a look.

Down a long flight of stairs, a pair of life-sized stone lions (a recurring theme) flanks massive black doors - with gold knobs you need two hands to turn.

That view! The main room is lined with windows showing off panoramic Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. It’s an immediate, though not surprising, wow.

The foyer is framed by the mother of all French chandeliers - one of many from New Orleans distributed throughout the house - hanging from a gold-leaf painted vaulted ceiling. Now that is the kind of extra a superstar can pull off.

It’s not hard to imagine hanging out here. You could curl up with a good book on the white sofa in the library, surrounded by houndstooth-lined bookshelves.

You could soak in the enormous marble tub in the master bath with a panoramic view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Or you could enjoy a drink with friends in the downstairs whiskey bar. (We love that retro plaid carpet.)

The design hits the right notes of elegance and simplicity, with eclectic, upscale thrift shop furniture, a consistent color scheme (black, white, gold, and green) and unexpected touches like mounted buffalo and moose heads.

It's not hard to imagine Macklemore holding court, but there is no doubt this is Ryan's palace, his personality embedded in the complete renovation it underwent after he bought this place in 2014.

It's every decade, every day, every bit of awesome - without going overboard.
